Prince William returns home after duty in Falklands

News UK

Summary
After being deployed to the Falkland Islands Prince William has returned home to Britain and his deployment, as an RAF helicopter search and rescue pilot, caused a diplomatic row with Argentina, which claims the islands, known there as the Malvinas. According to Clarence House, he had returned after an "entirely routine" tour and according to a spokesperson for St James's Palace, he will have a short period of leave like the rest of his crew, before returning to work at RAF Valley. Buenos Aires, however, which claims the Falklands are occupied Argentine territory, sees the prince's tour as a "provocation" but UK Foreign Secretary William Hague sees nothing provocative about "routine military movements".

Reaction
This is just one more example of what Prince is doing next to his obligations as a prince. I think it is very nice of him to be so much involved with the rest of the world and with the world problems. This article is also another example of typical power and possession conflict. Almost every country wants more possessions and there is always some country that says that some other country picked their land, and now that country wants its land back. If you read the news there’s always something going on between the countries and they’re always searching someone to blame for that and in this case it would be a “provocation-move” from Prince William.
